About the Artist
Originally from South Africa, Werner arrived in Australia for a gap year and never left. He brought with him a background in furniture-making and building—skills that now fuel his artistic process. His work first gained attention on TikTok, where he shared behind-the-scenes videos revealing the tactile process behind each canvas.
“I’m just a little person in the big abstract world, and that is exactly what I paint,” Werner says. With a strong belief in creative independence, he manages every aspect of his artistic career—from production and marketing to direct customer relationships—entirely on his own.
